SEASON 8 - The Grand Opening
 

Believe it or not "gentlemen" - our next session will be ep.1 of our EIGHT season.

I did have a splendid time playing S07E04 - I certainly hope you guys did as well - those of you who had reported in requests for the session had some luck. There was two skirmishes - one in a radiated zone, an airship vs helicopter dogfight and some cloak and dagger stuff that we didnt really get into before our time was up. We started quite early but didnt get into serious gaming before app 3 hours or more. Well thats how it goes. Next time it will start all the quicker due to the meticulous preparations.

Speaking of next time - I want to get a few dates settled as soon as possible.

On a completely different note, has anyone seen Africa Addio? It´s one of the most brutal collections of authentic footage I´ve been able to see through, it´s quite thought-provoking to say the least.

These mercenaries are reminiscent of many a character.

I move to postpone til April.

1) Only 1 player signed up for sessions in February
2) This gives more time to prepare
3) A host has yet to materialize - even though DeCorba is willing.

As for hosting, I can only restate my willingness - I was under the impression that you didn´t need further confirmation.

Seems we´re back to square one - although I really do appreciate your hospitality Pain jr., I kinda dislike the implication (given that I know you fairly well) that you would rather not play anywhere but your own place because it´s too much stress to shift your corpus outside your comfort zone:)
Imagine for a second that HQ had a similar attitude - then I seriously doubt we would have been in our 8th season..

You´re welcome of course - but does your car only roll in one direction? If that´s the case then my faith in german engineering has been severely undermined.

In other news, I now have a 6-man Römertopf™ !!

That means, of course, that the food will cook itself while we engage in extended flights of adolescent fantasy, a very rational distribution of time if you ask me.

I nominate DeCorba as host and will participate on Saturday. For those of you coming by air I belive you can safely land at Rygge, in DeCorbas back yard.

Y´all welcome of course - but I won´t insist. I´m for whatever gets it off the ground, this has dragged on a bit too long.

Btw Sanchez, didn´t you use it as an argument that it would be easier to get two days off for nerdism if took place somewhere else? It would be nice to have you around for the initial rounds as well.

On a different note, although that´s probably not an option this time around, I suggest we get together at HQ´s place sometime during this fiscal - or shall we say geekal - year. That way, I can combine it with familial duties - and, if we manage to make it an extended weekend in season it can be set off with a day of duck hunting! Can you imagine a better combination - a dash of healthy outdoors activities to balance out the utter depravity that is sure to follow, not to mention the chance of getting tits de canard for dinner!

HQ - Can you imagine this, or does your mind clutter with the inevitable logistic challenges?
