I love this, and I encourage the use of [brackets] around our individual versions of the history.

Can I be nitpicky, too? Field army numbers are almost always written out-- Sixth US Army, not 6th, or Second Mexican Army. I don't recall where I picked that up, but it was somewhere. Just like Corps use Roman numerals, and divisions and other formations use numerals (40th, 9th, etc.). I did note that you were italicizing enemy formations, and I approve of that.
