And too far south maybe? Repose is on the river not lakes. Repose is/was a wide spot in the road, 1950s population ca 500?? but sure less than 1000. OF course the data on Mt Dora reflex the 2010 census data, and surly was no where that large in the late 50s, so is possible for the inspiration.
