Airwarfare Automatic Weapons
ChalkLine 12-07-2005, 04:50 PM Just a little thing I noticed;
Machinegun ROFs are listed as the same regardless if they are designed for ground or air combat in the rules, this is not necessarily so. For instance, the standard M2HB .50cal HMG generally has a round/min ROF of 450 to 555, but the AN-M3 door gun version has the rather formidible ROF of 1,150 to 1,250! This is a lot more lead downrange. This holds true of most dedicated AA or aircraft mounted automatic weapons, as well as some naval versions. GMs may want to up the rate of fire for these. Much of the internals are not interchangeable on the M2 brownings, I'm not sure if other weapons can be field converted. ******************** graebardeII 12-08-2005, 06:59 AM For instance, the standard M2HB .50cal HMG generally has a round/min ROF of 450 to 555, but the AN-M3 door gun version has the rather formidible ROF of 1,150 to 1,250! Are you sure the AN-M3 isn't a three barrel gatling? I thought that was what they were using as doorguns when the .50 was used. ******************** |
