Default Minimum Ice thickness for weight.

While thinking of using the Wisconsin Dells DUKWs for winter great lakes travel I came across this neat chart and I thought I would share.
Code:
Required Min Ice Description of
Thickness in inches Safe Moving Load
 1-3/4 One person on skies
2 One person on foot or skates
   3 One snowmobile
3 A group of people walking single file
   7 A single passenger automobile
   8 A 2-1/2 ton truck
   9 A 3-1/2 ton truck
  10 A 7 to 8 ton truck

Oh to have had this table when I was still running my campaign. One instance in particular springs to mind, when two of Major Po's SEALs performed a LALO drop into the biggest reservoir in Central Park in the middle of winter (in dry suits). How much funnier would it have been if they had broken their ankles going through or becoming luke warm meaty/bloody pancakes on the ice?

Realized I should have provided the link but I was too busy testing my new wikipedia code.
