Exclamation New T2K Adventure Module on Sale

Rook's Gambit has been published by GDW/FFE and went on sale today.

http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/...--Rooks-Gambit

It's twice the size of the draft that I shared here a couple of years ago, with a lot of added content (including new NPCs, locales, factions, and a more detailed description of Marienburg Castle and Malbork town). I plan on offering free bonus content here, in the near future, so stay tuned. Please check it out and spread the word.

Thanks.

Nice work! This would be the third recently published book of new material for a GDW game (this adventure, the East Africa Sourcebook and the Gear Up equipment supplement for Dark Conspiracy).
Not bad for two games that have been out of print for a decade and more

Just bought both this module and the East Africa module and will enjoy having a read.

Congrats on your efforts in both writing it and publishing it.

Congratulations to all of you for getting published. I wish this Forum could "join forces" with FFE and put out a quarterly magazine. I'd help as far as my meager computer skills would stretch. We already have several pro class contributors here so I don't think it would be too difficult to pull off as a community.

another email from Marc on the subject came out today

In This Email:

Grognard. Kickstarter.
GenCon Traveller Character Benefit Cards.
Twilight: 2000 titles.
Traveller Novels.

***
We have two NEW Twilight: 2000 titles: Rook’s Gambit, and East Africa Sourcebook

Rook’s Gambit
A classic caper for a classic role- playing game, this is Rook's Gambit, the first adventure module for Twilight 2000 released since 1993. Set in Poland on the eve of Operation OMEGA, Rook's Gambit sends the player characters on a high-stakes mission to save the United States Army in central Europe from a rogue Soviet Field Marshall with delusions of grandeur and access to an errant American nuclear weapon.

East Africa Sourcebook From the deserts of Somalia to the Serengeti of northern Tanzania, the waters of the Indian Ocean to the jungles of the Congo, the East African/Kenya Sourcebook, the first new work for Twilight 2000 since 1995, shines a light on an area hinted at in previous works but never before detailed, where what is left of civilization in Africa struggles against the Somali Islamists, the PARA, the LRA and desperate pirates whose only mission is to take what they can from what still stands.
http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/...iate_rem=81689 and finally,

*** Traveller Novels
>br> The Backwards Mask
GDW commissioned a novel trilogy in support of Traveller: The New Era, and published two of the three before they closed their doors in 1996. Regrettably, the third novel lay forgotten and unpublished in the GDW archives for more than fifteen years. In that time, Traveller designer Marc Miller searched for a conclusion to the story arc. Ultimately, he teamed up with writer Matthew Carson to create from whole cloth a new final novel. THEN, the manuscript for the original third novel was discovered.

Fate of the Kinunir
Where is the Kinunir? More than three decades in the making, veteran author Robert E. Vardeman reveals the truth behind one of the greatest mysteries the Traveller universe has ever known—based on the very first Traveller adventure.

**
Shadow of the Storm
The Stormshadow is a new Solomani Confederation ship, captained by the disgraced Lieutenant Simon Crowe. Unfortunately, what was intended to be a series of trials for the Stormshadow suddenly turns into a six-jump patrol — and what should have been a simple patrol uncovers a conspiracy that might burn down the entire Solomani Rim.

** Agent of the Imperium
Jonathan Bland is a Decider, empowered by the Emperor himself to deal with the inevitable crises of empire. In the service of the Empire, he has killed more people than anyone in the history of Humanity, to save a hundred times as many. He died centuries ago, but they re-activate his recorded personality whenever a new threat appears.

Irregardless of a few rants on Facebook by people who are nitpickers I want to congratulate Raellus again on an amazing book and on getting it published as official canon!

Just purchased the PDF and I'm really impressed with the amount and quality of the content. It mentions at the end the New Hanseatic League Sourcebook and I was wondering when this might be available.
Along with the East Africa Sourcebook this is an excellent start to getting new Twilight 2000 adventures and sourcebooks released.

Thanks, Ewan. At present, there are no firm plans to publish the New Hanseatic League sourcebook, but a draft version is available for free here on the forum.

It's funny, when I first read the new Hanseatic league, it reminded me of the hanza faction from the metro universe. http://metrovideogame.wikia.com/wiki/Hanza

Thanks, all.

In addition to a new cover, courtesy of Stephanie McAlea, the updated version of Rook's Gambit has more detailed, more accurate descriptions of the castle. This is thanks to Spartan-117, who mailed me a booklet and a cutaway diagram of Marienburg direct from Malbork, Poland. They arrived a couple of days after Rook's Gambit went on sale, so the first version had to make do with whatever I could reconstruct from various, sometimes conflicting internet sources. I hope that the descriptions in v2 are more useful for referees. Someday, I hope to add diagrams of the castle, but I'm afraid that might be beyond my technical capabilities at present, and I don't have a budget to commission a professional graphic designer to do it for me. The cool thing about the PDFs on DrivethruRPG is that they update automatically, so if and when I do add diagrams, folks that already bought an earlier version will still receive them free of additional charge.

Thats good to know - that means if I do want to do any updates on the Sourcebook that I can do that easily. Not sure if I am going to go with a different cover - and unless I get an artist willing to do it for free it will probably stay as is
