Thumbs up

Good to see you didn't get adversely affected by Ike, Paul.

It was a complete fizzle in San Antonio. Temperature went down quite a bit (we have fall temperatures early), but it was otherwise bright and sunny.

Sounds like Ike affected me here in Pittsburgh more than San Antonio, I had to clear a down tree in my driveway and still have to clean up the front yard which I'll do today. Every once in a while, we do get hurricanes that affect us, I remember Ivan flooded the area in 2004 and Hurricane Agnes flooded us in 1972. I thank God I'm high up, floods don't affect me and if one did, I'm dead anyhow.

Great to see you Ant.

This weekend I think this board turned a corner and I now have very few doubts about our future success here.

I believe we had our busiest posting day yesterday.

We only have about 1/3 of the posters from the last 4 months at rpg host registered but I am not worried. Currently we are on the front page of Google for many common searches (ie twilight 2000 forum). The rest of the posters will come with time, even if rpghost drops off the face of the earth.

One request In order to keep a good Google ranking a site needs cross links from other sites. Right now the only links Google has to my site come from rpghost posts and from my site. If anyone has a site and could add a link it might help keep us on top.

Thanks in advance

Kato

Thought I'd best stop lurking and register now things seem to have settled down...

This forum seems to be the spiritual replacement for the RPGHost one, keep up the good work,

Martin.

This would be the VC winner's father's old house?

There was a post from Tigger at the old forum asking whether anybody knew the history of a VC winner who was the son of one of the previous owners of a house Tigger had been looking at. Tigger said there was a plaque on the wall of the house mentioning that the owner's son had won a VC.

Hi chaps,
I go on holiday, come back and find I've had to move forum. Good job Kato left me a Pm or I might have wandered in the wilderness awhile.

Thats the house. Here's the link to the wiki for Edmund de Wind VC, his father built the house we've just moved to. I'm only going to be checking in occasionally for a while as I'm relying on works internet for the next two weeks till ours is set up again.

Hi, Earthpig here. Mostly just a lurker on the old forum. I hope to get back into T2K, if my other Hobbies don't interfere (ASL, hunting/fishing etc). Had a campaign going FTF about 7 years ago, but died out after players moved away at roughly the same time. I'm glad someone has a Morrow project jones here as well, some years ago I converted many of the "project" vehicle stats and load kits to T2K.

Welcome to the board.

Morrow/Phoenix Project is my current game of choice, but this T2k group is awesome. I am currently not pushing the morrow side of the fourm until I move us to a better server as the functions I am building (character shopping carts, dynamic mapping, etc), while cool, are pretty cpu intensive.

If you want to take a look at my gaming site http://games.juhlin.com I have like 80 kits broken down in the equipment section. I also have a pretty neat map of key locations (military bases, refineries, nuke plants, etc). I am sorry that it requires a seperate registration. That will probably not be fixed until next year, after migration to the new box and a fundimential architecture revamp.

I'm here now, despite Ike, and despite some really long days at work. I work for the local electric delivery company. 26 days straight, working 10 to 16 hour days, with the majority in the upper end of the spectrum. My department is back to it's normal duties and normal 10 hour days as of yesterday (Monday).

I've got some pictures someone in the company took, but it's in a .pps file extension. If someone can change that to a .jpg, and post them, drop me a private message with an e-mail and I'll forward them to you.

I'm glad to see the new boards with so many familiar names, and the familiar look of the old board. Kind of like coming home after a vacation. Thanks Kato!

Have to agree there Kato - at the end of the day I didn't really mind where we went as long as we all ended up in the one place. The fact that your site is well set up and works like the old one is just an added bonus. We've a great community here and the quality of the posting and people is far superior to any other forum I've ever been in regardless of the subject matter. It still amazes me that until a few years ago when I got into the old forum (Townhall) that I thought I was one of a very few people who remembered the game at all.

I cant wait until the end of this month - first FtF session since summer.Had a good build up of bickering among the players by email about how to get out of their current fix to..gotta say I am really looking forward to refereeing this one.

Bumping this both to help with search engine placement for usernames and to encourage new users to give us a shout out.

Don't be bashful, we are probably the most welcoming group I have ever seen in 24 years of message board posting.
