There's something here that looks a bit like a LAV turret on an M113

What's really interesting about the pic mentioned is the fact that on both sides of the turret is tow missile canisters. Most interesting...

OrBat Nitpick time: isn't the NJ Guard division the 50th Armored?

The LAV has always had this option but it wasn't bought as the cost was prohibitive (and it would be a classic case of arming an eggshell with a sledgehammer). There is a photo of a LAV with it in the old Osprey book on US Light Tanks.

Default New updated version.

A few more pics, changed 50th to Armoured and changed vehicle designations to follow the rest of the M113 series.
