Brutal, and no doubt highly effective.

Not quite sure how the copper prongs would survive the feed mechanism...

My original post here seems to have gone missing?

System went down over the weekend. Kato warned some posts might get lost. I don't think it's anything more sinister than that.

Aren't rounds like that- "dum-dum" bullets and the like- outlawed by the Geneva Conventions? I remember reading that boat-tailed bullets- anything designed to do massive internal damage- were at least severely frowned upon by international treaty/law. Maybe I'm missing something.

Projectiles designed to expand are frowned on, if the manufacturing process leaves hollow points or the like that aren't supposed to expand, it's OK. Look up the M118LR 7.62 match round as an example. It is good to go under the Geneva Protocals, and the Hague Convention as well.

Boat tails don't enhance damage, they make the round more aerodynamic.

Thanks for the info Simon, I completely missed the warning
I was more confused than thinking something had been deliberately deleted, I was starting to think I had imagined doing the post!

1: you mean the hague conventions where such were banned, however few nations are signatories and its not actually enforced(as we saw with Syria)

2: that round ins't really designed for armor peircing

3: it's easier to make SLAP rounds for a .308 rifle (which fits in well in any TW2K timeline since they were being tested in the 70's)
