Default Damaging Buildings

In v2/v2.2, have any rules been put forward for damaging buildings other than the Breaching Barriers section of Demolitions? I haven't been able to find anything for vehicles hitting buildings (although collision rules could be used if the tonnage of the building was calculable), or for buildings collapsing (or partially collapsing) from damage. This seems...well, not exactly necessary, but at least an odd omission.

I don't think any of the GDW games had rules for damage to buildings although I recall that 2013 did have some that were very similar to, or a natural progression of, the rules from the old Aftermath game for that purpose.
I'll have to try and find my pdf of 2013 to check - worse comes to worst I'll download it again from my DriveThruRPG library!

There was a Challenge article for V1 that was still useful for the later T2K's.

Loren's article from Challenge #29, with building types and random condition table? It's useful, but doesn't have additional information on damaging buildings.

However, I found one at the old Aether Traveller that's fairly simple, but works. I think combining those in-game could work.

If you have the 2013 core rules, there's a section titled "Building And Rebuilding" starting on page 192. It covers aspects such as structural integrity and damage/demolition to buildings.

It wasn't quite as I remembered it but I've read through so many post-apocalyptic RPGs (it's a favourite genre) that I'm most likely getting confused between them all

I did a Thread on Barrier Ratings that involved reducing damage by points for penetrating objects but not damaging structures (If you look it up, remember that I use 1D6 for pistols and 1D10 for rifles when reading it).

I did have a vague idea about using the DAMAGE DICE (remember I use V2.2) modified by a weapon's PENETRATION to damage structures. So an M60 could inflict 4 hits on a building while an AK74 would do 2 hits. I could see rating each 1-meter stretch of wall with a Barrier Rating. Reduce this Rating to 0 and you blow a hole in the wall. Destroy enough of the structure and it collapses.

Unfortunately, this is all the thought I gave it.

Swag.
