Router is limping along but is mortally wounded. New router ordered but may not be here for a few days. I would not expect things to go well until then but I will try to keep us up as much as I can. The goal here is not full function (though if it works go for it), but to keep people appraised of the situation.

This is why I love this place - you're so considerate Kato, getting the router to die the weekend when I'm heading away and wonkt be around so much :)
Seriously, don't worry too much Kato, you do an awesome job here and we know this is beyond your control.

Thanks for the complements. My biggest concerns is losing people. I know the long term people will be OK (except for the withdrawal that I am already showing symptoms of) but some people only come once a month an I don't want them to think we are gone like RPGhost was.
I honestly don't know if we will be up 10% of the time or 80%. So before anyone types in a huge post make sure you have a backup as there is a chance the post will be lost during one of the cycles.
Thanks everyone for your patience. I just wish ATT's multiple static IP system was compatible with the two other ADSL modems/routers I already had (my trying every trick I could find is what was responsible for the previous 12 hours of downtime.).

You're a legend Kato. I didn't expect to be able to log on here today at all. Thanks for all your hard work.

The Kato Forum Fighter-Bomber is barely hanging in there... I can see debris breaking off the wings and its trailing smoke... its a tough old bird but will it make it back from this mission? Fingers crossed!

Even an A-10 pilot has to walk over to a new plane at some point. Hope this one has night vision ;)

I think we might have just enough chewing gum, bailing wire and string to hold it together long enough for a single suicidal pass on the target.
Making it back on the other hand.....
