Guys - the boathouse weekend was awesome .Good gaming, good food, good wines and good times - but its time to think ahead to our next round so that everyone can get their ducks in a row before kick off.

Just starting early to give everyone a chance to get onboard .

I am thinking one of the weekends between

FRIDAY OCTOBER 30 and FRIDAY DECEMBER 4

anyone have any preferances please get online and post them in this thread .

thats 6 weekends to choose from .

For those of you who expected a harder outcome with more PC fatalities I can only apologize and blame the fact that I only got app 1/3 or so into my material before we packed it up .

;)

If you read this just post a few words so that we know that you are informed and thinking about it .

Some of you obviously have taken too close to heart that Sleep is the ENEMY. I usually find my self in bed with that enemy, and regularly enjoy it too!

Getting 1/3 into the material is not to be unexpected, after all you are dealing with pros here. Everything has to be discussed down to to the last micro detail, and it's not possible to know in beforehand what detail's going to grab the players' attention.

I enjoyed myself, but like you said, a few more hours of sleep could have made a difference.

agreed - but I still feel like it was an accident....in a way.

In retrospect we were never going to get to ENDEX in one sitting. The big map firefights usually take from 3-6 hours pr map, the smaller maps usually take about 1-2 hours .Including getting 2 new characters introduced ( one a little longer in getting there than the other ;) ,starting of a pretty big mission and recapping ,equipping ,making final notes before D-Day etc and inevitably discussions underway -all of it adds up into hours .Also -as said -I was a bit slow from lack of sleep...etc

All in all I feel you guys got a decent amount of time on the two -way range -and I very much look forward to the next round of games and fun .(We almost ended it mid burst as I recall )

thats a definently probably maybe from Sanchez!

Looks like I´m readily available for all of the above, although with a slight reservation for the weekend 13th-14th.

fri 13/11 - sun 15/11

or

fri 20/11 - sun 22/11

*should* be good by me, but then again, it all boils down to negotiations and leverage. The upcoming hunting trip is somewhat made up for by me agreeing to come on a vacation with wifey, kids, my mother and my mother-in-law, but it remains to be seen..

I will be arriving the evening of the 19th of november at Gen Pains pad in our lovely ,junkie/somali mugger/beggar infested capitol for some hard core gaming.

I trust that everyone has got their ducks in a row and are making their way to the occasion.

As you well know -we left of mid shoot out the last time we played - so I will recap a little for you :

1) the mission was simple -creat havoc and mayhem in the enemy rear and take out a bridge and a couple of key enemy personel as you went

2) then you were to just wait until the advance of your own mainforce made the enemy collapse and cut `em down as they ran from the front

3) go home collect medals and start peddling loot and spoils of war on the black market and trade heroic war stories for admirations of men and affections of women ( or men in some cases ) .be promoted.Get a spot on a talk show.launch line of sportswear or cooking supplies .produce a movie about yourself.marry supermodel.run for office.retire in a nice climate .

actual success contents may vary..

Actually you are somewhere in point 1 - I guess between mayhem and havoc and enemies -although you have secured a bridge earlier on - or at least it was in your hands when you left it -or at least in the hands of the squad sized scout unit that relieved you .

In short -mission is progressing predictably and the party is embroiled in a deadly firefight with an unexpectedly well motivated and numerous enemy contingent in the ruins of a Central valley neighbourhood. The scouts reported sighting a man that might very well be the mysterious "Johan" that is listed as objective no 2 on your mission statement.

After several attempts to break the enemy line -taking grievous losses- ,the party has retreated to the relative safety of a brick ruin and are busy with a hasty reorganization .Elsewhere along the line the battle is raging relentlessly with mortars and grenade launchers hammering away from both sides ,as well as snipers and machinegunners /vehicle gunners blasting loose at eachother .Some characters have taken hits and are doing not to good - some are unschathed by the hail of enemy bullets and rpgs.

It seems unlikely that either side will be able to outgun the other however, and some sort of decisive action must be made to end the fight .

cant wait to crack out minis and get gaming again on this one .Got to love a good battle.
