kato13 08-23-2008, 12:22 PM I am starting work on the layout for my equipment database and I was wondering if anyone is still on a 800x600 (or lower) setting for monitor resolution.
If there are not too many people on that size, I will design for the much more common 1024x768 minimum. My site will still work for lower resolutions but will require left right scrolling (as many sites do now for that resolution CNN, Yahoo, eBay, IMdB, etc.)

Targan 08-23-2008, 12:33 PM I'm on 1024x768 and my monitor is far from new.

kato13 08-23-2008, 12:42 PM It is estimated that 5% of all web users are still on 800x600 or lower. Virtually every LCD is 1024x768 or higher for native resolution so I think it is limited to CRT (tube) monitors, very old video cards, or web appliances.
