FAA Registry information
http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/AcftRef_Inquiry.aspx

http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/AcftRef_Results.aspx?Mfrtxt=CESSNA&Modeltxt=&PageNo=1

Not sure how complete the results are but it looks good to me.

For civilian airliners, Flight International publishes an annual airliner census. Search for "airline census" or "airline directory" on their archive page http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/search.aspx? - I use the 1989 data as a base for Aeroflot and other Warsaw Pact "civilian" airlines, and the 1996 RL data for the west.

http://www.warbirdalley.com/bt9.htm

shows the approximate number of airworthy aircraft for selected types. While these are ex-military panes, most are in civilian hands. For example, about 35 T-6 Texans. 300 C-47 Skytrains and 150 P-51 Mustangs are still flying.

I just love him for his hairy legs!!!

This made me laugh as on one of my trips to Korea, the younger members of my girlfriend's family were fascinated by the hair on my arms, not to mention the full beard I had at the time. Neither are very common on Korean Men.
