Hello folks (and Lady)!
Shortly after I had registered on this forum, I had to pause. A new job and private circumstance took nearly all of my spare time. Therefore I wasn't on these pages for more than one and a half years. During the last 2 weeks I took the time and read a lot of the threads that I've missed. There were approximately 30 pages with threads and I've read about 2/3 of them. And I have to say: That was a weired experience.
The first (well, presumable) Lady on the forum; Loren Wiseman and Frank Frey dropped in; new mods ...
Some of the threads were very informative, others were extremely fun to read, and several were really touching. Well, to all of you out there, who have to deal with the loss of family members and friends: I feel with you. After my Dad died, I was fortunate enough, to have friends by my side, who helped me and lended me ears or a shoulder to lean on to. I hope, same goes for you!
And to all of you, who got engaged, married or have new children: Congrats!
To me, the highlights of this time were "General Chauvinism" and "US Army Combat Medic loadout". And my respect for you, Eddie and Jester: You showed, that one can be "gentlemanly", although it did at first not look that way.
But one of the best things was the picture, Marc and Legbreaker produced with their 200 dice-wielding heroes charging. Well, a little pathetic, but ... makes me kind of "proud" to belong to this charging horde (In the picture you can see me in the last line, far to the left, the one with the green berret:) ).
So, if you see one of the old threads taken out of the virtual bin, you know why this happens. I think, I will have to post my thoughts on one or the other issue.
Well, that's it, for the moment.
Good to be back (And, yes, still trying to get more experience points for that LNG (English) skill:p)
