Grimace,

Same thing for me at first, now it's coming in.

If you can't see the image and get a "broken image" icon, then right-click on it and select "Copy Image URL", then past that in your browser address bar to see the image.

My work computer won't show it but my home computer does :(
So here's a link to one site that's selling these mugs...

Ah ThinkGeek, know it well. Put in a big Christmas order with them just a couple of days ago.

I got an "Error 404" off that link.

Targan,

Something wacky going on with the URL. I get a 404 error, then hit enter again to reload the page, and it shows it.

Boy oh boy, if it's this much problem just to see a darn picture of the thing, something makes me think it's not worth it.

I followed the link, I reloaded, I copy/pasted and nothing, nothing, nothing.

Is the mug that StainlessSteelCynic linked the same one? I can see that one.

Grimace,

Yeah, no sweat, that's the one.

Apparently they don't allow hot linking. That means that links or embedded images from other sites will result in an error. In the past it was a very common way to reduce bandwidth, but as bandwidth has gotten cheaper more sites have been willing to provide the link of the off chance that people would look at it and then actually go to the site. To be honest as this is for a purchasable product it seems like a no brainer.

I made something along those lines in Occupational Therapy after my breakdown. I think the doctors just didn't understand that I had a weird sense of humor.

I guess this restriction is a holdover from the old days. For a company that is literally using the net to sell their products it would make sense to me too in order to get in on some viral marketing (as I'd guess you'd call it nowadays).

Here's something along those lines (if it comes out):

Paul,

I can imagine how making a mug like this could confuse a lot of people with rigid ideas of what "normal" is.

That was the same OT class where I did a couple of ducky figurines -- one was a superhero duck, complete with a black eye mask and a shirt with "The Byrd Is The Wyrd" on the back, and his arch-nemesis, an undead duck...

Then again, I also did an excellent model of an Su-25 Frogfoot, which they elected to keep on their shelves as an example to others. They actually let me go to the PX for the first time since I had been hospitalized to get some special paint colors.
