Probably for the best; one of the players insisted on being an Indiana Jones type despite me trying to drive it home that this wasn't like "Raiders of the Lost Ark" it was like "Red Dawn" in tone.

Another guy just couldn't make it due to scheduling conflicts, and I couldn't agree with another on what system and mechanics we'd be using anyway, so it wouldn't have been the game I wanted anyway.

Sigh. Guess it's back to (only) AD&D every other Sunday for the forseeable future.

Over here I'm stuck with three uni students as players only interested in AD&D and one in 4th ed Shadowrun. Not toooo bad except scheduling is a nightmare what with their part time work and multiple assignments and projects. Can usually only get one or two at a time for just a couple of hours. Doesn't help that one has his girlfriends thumbprint deeply embedded on his forehead (although is his defence he's definitely punching WELL above his weight - she's smoking hot!)
What worse is they're all in their final year and will be leaving two around Christmas with no obvious hope for replacements. :(
