So.. I have broken my ankle and cannot work. All I can really do is go through my old House Rules and such and mess up the rules and system I already have put alot of work into. (Still bored to death.. going to plow ahead however.)

I have changed my weapons program to include Ballistic Coefficients so that damage at a given range can be scientific fact, as opposed to an assumption.

The biggest problem that I am having currently is that many of the values are odd given that the Fire Fusion and Steel formulas don't take into account velocity. I have substituted the real Joules Energy to take affect of this but... now it doesn't accout for differences of caliber. Like 5.56 vs 7.62x39.

I offer this to the community as a FYI program that is interesting. (Maybe only to me but..) I need to automate it but offer it now as a beta test. I have included a XLS document with a listing of different BCs for alot of different bullets. Input the BC1 into the XLS program called "Weapon Creator" Get the info on your favorite rifle form the internet and see how effective it really is. (Please ignore the Sectional Density portion. I am working on the penetration values and that I will go through later, if I don't heal rapidly.)

I have included a few of the standard weapons with different ammunition types. (AKM, M16A2, M24, M2HB)

Please let me know what you think. Or, what I should do (Other than not waste my time because that is REALLY the object of all this.)

Ummm.. New problem.. I figure that if you are reading this you may be interested, or also have broken bones. I cannot upload my two files. If you are interested in these could you please tell me how to do this or why I am not able to upload them.

Projectile weight and therefore kinetic energy is probably something you want to take into account too....

As for bones, I also have a cast on my ankle - reconstruction surgery though rather than a break (the result of a motorcycle accident 4 1/2 years ago). I share your pain, literally!

I prefer Guns, Guns, Guns (3G) to FFS for working out weapons stats. I have both systems but I find that 3G gives more reliable and accurate results.

Arghh I am sorry to hear about your leg. I wish you were in California. Maybe I we could acctually PLAY Tw:2000. Novel idea.

As for the bullet weight, it is used. I do a fair amount of FTR class rifle shooting and am pretty proficient with trajectory tables and exterior ballistics. Kind of why I started in on this project. (My wife said if I go outside to shoot and prolong the healing process, I will have a few more broken bones, or something like that. 3rd injury in 4 years will do that to a wife.) Anyway, I cannot shoot right now so I wanted to see how my 6.5 Lapua stacked up in the Twilight world.

Also thanks Targan. I will check out G,g,gs. Also dare I ask but where does one go about getting GunMaster?

I would love to share the XLS file with you all but the server won't let me upload it? Is there like a file sharing site or something? I can post a link. I can email it to someone. Whatever..

The archives section at www.warflail.com has a number of different versions of Gunmaster, one for each of the different editions of HarnMaster. You will need one of the editions of Gunmaster to be able to make use of Gunmaster.
