A quick read, and certainly somewhat dated, but the themes are all there that we are so familiar with.

Thanks for this, Father Fletch. Great read so far. I did not know that Jack London had written this.

THe tone of the first chapter or so is similar to H.G. Wells War of the Worlds.
Another great TEOTWAWKI from the end of the 19th to the beginning of the 20th century. Time Machine also comes to mind.

I read it. Thanks! I think it would do well for the setting, helping players understand why the People have devolved so far.

The Scarlet Plague started in 2012 according to the story.

I think this needed to be a bump.

This makes a great scenario for an alternate beginning for the Morrow Project.

Instead of a Nuclear War it is a world wide plague with a 98% fatality rate. Cities are destroyed by massive fires with the loss of infrastructure and no one to fight them.

Survivors are either immune or carriers. :)
