Encouraged by all the feedback from you guys, to develop my writing skills and to celebrate my 250th post, I'm going to throw this open to suggestions as to what to write for the next article(s). Any suggestions please post below.

Oh and 1 year on the forum.

I would request either something on the Challenger 2 or the British 7th armoured brigade please.

YOu have provided a lot of interesting material. Thanks from the group.

Now is also a good time for an avatar if that interests you.

Something about a region/city/village with some spicy detail would be nice. Or an essay over a person/group/organisation that could be a "historical" figure in the Twilight-world ?
Maybe something you already worked with as a GM or player.

How about something on what's left of the USAF stateside? Transport, attack, etc.

I mean, I imagine they've got some "just in case" avgas and maybe a couple operational C141s or C5s, maybe a handful of aircraft...they've also probably got mechs going nuts in Davis-Monthan (nothing hit there or near there) getting old junk like A1 Skyraiders flying again and stripping stuff for parts for the tiny number of still operational aircraft.

I would assume you'd need some electronics updates to get the Skyraider to be able to fire the Maverick, but seeing them hunting Mexican tanks over the US Southwest would be awesome!

I could see them developing a cannon pod for the 25mm Bushmaster with one under each wing like the Stukas of WW2!

30mm cannon pods were developed for the F-16. Turned out not to be very accurate though, IIRC.

How about one on mine warfare or demolitions? Engineering would be nice and I believe somebody mentioned unit histories....

Yeah the SUU-22 gun-pods they strapped on F4s to try and get them gunfighting ability back in the 60s were a dismal failure. They were so far off the centerline and they bucked around so much (seriously, if you can find a video these things are twisting and flopping like 5-10 degrees as they fire) they were kind of useless.

The Spad has a brace of 20mm cannon in each wing, however, and I'd wager 20mm is an ammo there's PLENTY of.

Plus in a pinch the A1 can carry up to 5 (or is it 10?) troops as passengers (not for air-dropping mind you). Yes.

I agree with 95th rifleman, the complete war record of 7th armoured Brigade should be a good one. Or on that the line, the actions of your Local infantry regiment in the third world war.

Or if you feel something more clandestine, perhaps the Security services?

Circa 2000 any A&P mechanics working in the Boneyard at Davis-Monthan are likely also painting Mexican tri-color recognition flashes on anything they can get running.

Some interesting suggestions, I'll start working on some of them. Probably the first up will be 7th Armoured Brigade.
