Imagine if Japan had seen videos (film) like this prior to Pearl Harbor.
Thats just Americans having fun, and you want to start a War with them?

A half pounder cannon!!! Bore/gauge is number of lead balls bore sized to make a pound. The 2-gauge also has a bore of 1.326" (33.67mm). A frikin' cannon!!

I've seen about as bad, if not worse, in St Etienne's guns and cycles manufacture's 1900 catalogue : the '37mm canardière canon' - a 37mm duck gun.
Which was also declined in an almost exactly identical version as a defense gun for yachts and other boats.
Gun laws at that time were fairly lenient...
That catalogue also held a lot of fun guns, including some borderline insane revolvers aimed apaprently at the balkan area's market. Things like a 20-shots, twin-barelled .38 revolver.

I'd love to have the kind of money it takes to purchase, maintain, and use a machine gun. I wouldn't buy a machine gun with it, but I'd still like to have the money. Equally, I'd be thrilled to be able to afford a grenade launcher or an anti-tank gun with all its supporting panoply. Again, I wouldn't spend the money that way, but it'd be nice to have the option.
When I first saw the title to this thread, I thought someone was enjoying a nice bottle of whiskey.

And who says hard liquor and heavy automatic weapons don't mix? ;)

I'm not a fan of Knob Creek.
Way too many Yahoos there that have gotten people injured and at least one person killed.*
I'll stick with my local Machinegun shoots(ask nicely and I'll share the pictures)
*last one I heard about was when a homemade triple Minigun mount collapsed and killed a nine year old girl.

I know of four people who have died at Knob Creek, the girl was 13 and had finished firing the homemade triple minigun mount (owned by a family friend to make it even worse). The weapons were ammo dry, but still rotating when she got up, the mount collapsed and a corner of the frame struck her in the head, killing her instantly. Cause of the accident, a sheered bolt caused by metal fatigue...
The other three people were campers who used a Coleman heater inside their camper during a cold spurt and suffocated from the fumes.
Friends who have attended Knob Creek over the years have told me that the range has really cracked down on safety over the years.

I look at my local machinegun shoot where you litterally have a RO standing next to you while you shoot(ready to grab the weapon and force it in a safe direction if they have to) and very strict rules for safty reasons (They have relaxed them since Buzzgunner first wrote them). When I watch video's at alot of shoots I see alot of people acting like idiots.

This is a punt gun. Dates back to the 1890/1900s. During that time frame, the most popular dish was duck. In order to harvest enough ducks for commercial demand, the punt gun was invented, this is a very large caliber shotgun, mounted on a punt, the fearless duck hunters would row out, select their flock and fire and then row out and pick up 80-100 ducks. This type of gun is why there was so little commercial game birds for most of the 20th century. You can own one, you can fire one at a range, but you can not hunt with one. Violates federal and state laws on so many levels!!!

IMI made the Galil in 5.56X45mm and 7.62X51mm. they never made an Israeli Galil is Soviet calibers. But they did convert some Valmet Assault Rifles to Galils Pre-86 and there are companies now that make Galil parts and full rifles in soviet calibers.
