Somewhere in the wind swept Nevada desert if the Morrow Project power station. Recon Team N-2 must find it and find it fast before it is captured by a mysterious group known only as the Syen. To do this they must search some of the most hospitable land in North America, sift through the rubble of the 20th Century and fight on when all hope is gone. At stake is not only the first Morrow Power Station, but the lives of their Comrades still asleep and defenseless before the coming onslaught.

Overall, not bad. The introduction of the Syens and Slavers, the race to save the power station before its destroyed, all classic Sci-Fi....

I don't like the idea of the power station team leader knowing the location of Prime Base. IMO, that should be classified, regional command base level sort of think.

I suppose the Power station itself is on par with a regional command in terms of Importance. In Canon it has a Combined Group assigned to it. So I am assuming the Power Station Commander out ranks the Combined Group Commander.

So I guess it makes sense he would know how to find Prime Base (Fusion Power Specialist) and may have had a part in the design or construction of PB.

The Power Station and the Pumping Station. Nevada. Why? Ok I can see that it is out of the way and unlikely to catch a Nuke.

Who are they sending water too? In theory the "Large Group" that would be running the Power Station. Which amounts to a dozen and the Combined Group Which seems to be 20 -30. If it is vital to the Power Station and the Town to be, who would place it 5 miles away.......... *head to desk*.

The Power Station. Well it seems it can only send power to one customer at a time and only if they have a receiving station and only if the reflecting satellite is operational. .......... only if gets repeated to often here for this to have really been a solution.

Wouldn't a Trailer mounted Large Fusion plant have made more sense.

I know there is not really any adventure in that but, the premise was these were planners preparing for the loss of everything.

argh.

I think a good compromise there would be to have the power station as a sort of "one place super hub" for power that will do a few states, along with the supplies to semi-get the power grid up and running again.

Then have a few fusion power trailers (similar to the ill fated Soviet nuclear power trailers) for more rural areas.

I see where you are going with your thought.....

But still....

IMHO, there should be SOMEONE in the field who knows where Prime is. Even if it just general directions.

Have played a few games where the CO of the combined group had this type of info.... OR like I said in my commentary on Starnaman, IF a CO with the proper level card might get a vector to Prime. Especially IF you are following the PB module on HOW PB died, THEN a short burst transmissions to all Delta type bases with information about what happend. AND ONLY proper level card can access this info. Normal TL will NOT get this.....

My games, I have regional command bases, regional MARS bases and manned regional supply bases, the commanders of these are the ones that know the location of Prime Base.

I just regard Prime as being so critical to the success of TMP that it needs extraordinary security, that's how I justify, at least in my twisted little mind, the impact of the fall of Prime (Jezz, sounds like a Transformers title!).

What say we on the Fast Attack Vehicles?

I am mixed. They are cool and fun, but they don't make any sense for a Unit that will be living out of their vehicles for a good long time.

The TOW version of the V-150 is cool. I think I will give the Team a Trailer to haul all the other stuff. There wouldn't in reality be room to bring any thing else.

If the player group is larger Hmmmmm 1 FAV, 1 V-150 Tow, and 1 M998 Humvee?

Logistics always seems to take a back seat to cool fast vehicles and new cool guns.

Instead of the V-150 TOW, try the APC or the mortar version. As for the FAVs...its cool, but I'd assign it to a MARs team or a QRF at a regional base. Its pretty useless for a roving team

I thought about using the APC or ARV versions of the V-150 instead.

So it is a pintle mounted .50 cal (Powerful enough), and keeps the Team challenged by the Bad guys in this scenario.

I was hoping you were still coming around. :)
