I ought not to buy books. I ought not to read war history. I ought not to connect my reading and my attention with Iraq. But I can’t help myself. I’m looking at books on the Iran-Iraq War in Amazon because I’m a hopeless case.

I ought not to buy books either. This was my latest:

The purchase was inspired by watching a BBC documentary about the Commando training centre at Achnacarry; the techniques are still being taught today.

I've thumbed through some Osprey stuff, mostly about the air-war, that seemed pretty good. I think they have one on Iranian Phantom Aces and one on Tomcat Aces. I don't think I've ever come across anything dedicated to the ground war.

I'm sure you found these already but just in case...
