Found this page through some Cold War wargaming site and thought some of you might like to check it out.
Clicking on the year you're interested in loads another page with various formations at battalion, regimental, division and brigade levels
Clicking on one of them loads a PDF with icons representing the various vehicles and other equipment but no names which is a pain in the rear because frankly, I can't tell one Soviet artillery piece from another when it's just a silhouette.

Nice find.... its good seeing the might of a Motorized Rifle Regiment in full.

SSC, just ask and I'm sure there'll be a nice debate about what the said silhouette is...

Perhaps a debate along the lines of "Are they flying foxes? Orbats?" :D

Edit: Sorry about that. Zoological humor. It's a niche gig.

Flying Foxes, Orbital Bats!
OMG!
Are we being attacked from space by winged mammals?

But on a more serious note...
I found these (http://www.armouredacorn.com/Refs-%20Thumbprints%20&%20Images/Orbats/SovietLegend2-comp.pdf) explanations on the silhouettes.
Thank you Medic :)
I didn't look for anything like that because I was being lazy so thank you again for taking the time to find it :D

There is a Legend attached to the same website that names the silhouettes.
