I seem to have lost my Airborne Coin. I've turned my house and car upside down, and even looked at my brother's house and went to the stores I last went to, but I can't find the damn thing anywhere.
Needless to say, this is a serious issue for a Paratrooper.
I can easily find Airborne Coins, but I can't find one from 1991 (I got my wings in March 1991). Anyone know where to look for such an item?

I'd recommend ebay and craigslist. Don't sweat the coin. It's a representation, nothing more. Your having earned the coin is not affected by whether it is in your possession or not any more than having the coin in one's possession indicates having earned it.

Well, that's thing. It is important to me, and it's bad enough that I lost my "real" coin. It is a symbol to me, and one that signifies personal achievement. That's why I want one minted in 1991.

Fair enough. Online auctions of militaria must be awash in coins.

There seem to be a lot on ebay, mainly in the states but I don't know what to look for. If someone can post the design of the 1991 coin here we can all keep an eye out for it and thus increase the chances of spotting it.
If I'd found one, I'd have bid on it and I bet other people here would too. If anyone does it might be sensible to say so here otherwise we might end up bidding against each other.
Chin up, Paul, if there's one out there we'll find it.

this has the feeling of an Al-Quaida plot....
Good luck, Paul, so that when you find your real one, you can pass on the other to someone who's lost theirs.
Good luck in finding one, Paul.
If I should ever loose my old service barret, that would be sad for me. Although a medal and a cover are two very different items, I can still imagine what you feel.
Best wishes from Germany!

What unit and what country?
Hi Paul,
did your Airborne Coin turn up again?
Best wishes!
