Theres a new tv program on here in australia, its likley on elsewhere.

I've missed the first few episodes but while i havent seen it yet it has a slightly t2k feel i think. And some action. Its based around the army so i thought the guys here might be interested. The ads have reminded me of the program The Unit.

Its called "Army Wives".

be sure to get BBCs "Survivors" - a re make of the 1970s classic .

It has an apocalypse , survivors struggling to make it in their new world etc

not heavy on guns etc like for instance Jericho

(Jericho was super cool ,apart from being ruined towards the end by the close down and the storyline that had to be rushed to give it a sort of closure -just wish it could have gotten a few more seasons with the "uncertainty -vibe/eeire post apocalyptic vibe " that they had going for the first 18 -20 episodes or so )

Its the "whats happening with the women folk at home" part of The Unit that I don't like, I love the miltary parts of the program. I'm assuming Army Wives will mostly be about the "whats happening with the women folk at home" so I haven't bothered to watch it.

It is about the back home part of the war. It's been running here in the US for a season and a half. It's more soap opera than drama.

Yep, Targan, maybe you can grab a mop to soak up all the dripping sarcasm in my lead post :-)

I have to tape the unit so i can FF the bits about the girls at home.
