Why??? Its definitely a one shot device. Now to get the gravity gun from Half Life 2 and fire saw blades at people.... that would work better.

I think I have a preliminary handle on this. I'll do the damage and special effects like the Chainsword in D&D (found in Dragon), but it will be a fairly small chainsaw in order to be a man-packed weapon. For the propellant charge, I'll do it like a small ATGM called the Predator (which is also on my site). It'll need fairly large pop-out fins to counteract the rear-heavy chainsaw during flight; even then, it will still be unstable and short-ranged.
What I can't find out is how long it takes for a chainsaw to spin up. I figure that the chainsaw will have to be started through an electrical connection and then, I don't know if the chainsaw takes a certain amount of time to get to it's full revs. If you have experience with a chainsaw, maybe you can answer this question.
How's that sound so far?
