Hey everyone I liked the Favorite U.S weapons post so much I thought I do another one for Pact weapons :)
Assualt Rifle:
AMD-65, which is a variant of your typical AKM type rifle, but with a shorter barrel, gas tube and it has a folding stock permanently attached to the back of the receiver trunion. While I Like the standard AKM very much. I am Lately attracted to the idea of a shorter carbine for horseback or vehicle use. Though I would make one modification which is remove the longer two hole muzzle break and add a slant break from an AKM, to shorten it even more. I think its a better alternative than the AKSU as I prefer the 7.62x39mm over the 5.45X39mm though it is a very accurate and light weight round. I would also carry an regular AKM if the AMD-65 wasn't available.

Submachine gun:
PPSH-41
Perhaps the coolest SMG ever produced. High cyclic rate of fire and feeds form 72rnd drums or 25 round magazines.
91
Light Machine gun:
RPD
While old its very reliable and uses the 7.62x39mm round which is good for caliber standardization. Its very simple and reliable perhaps the first sqaud Automatic Weapon and probably one of the best.
92
General purpose machine gun
RP-46
I think the machine gun is one of the forgotten greats of the soviet military it had all the robust simplicity of the DP series but could be fed by belts of the Goryunov machine gun and later PKM instead of the pan magazine of the DP, DT machine guns. One thing I would add is a bracket to attach a belt box from a PKM.

Pistol:
APS Stetchkin
A select fire Machine pistol that fires the soviet 9x18mm.
