Turkey has an exclave located in Syria although not far from the Syrian-Turkish border. It's based around a tomb constructed for Suleyman Shah, the grandfather of Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire.
It's only coming back into Western consciousness because its existence could be threatened by the Syrian civil war and Turkey has stated that they WILL defend the exclave.

Although the current situation is interesting in its own right, I thought it would be more interesting to imagine how this tiny piece of sovereign Turkish territory would fare in the Twilight War given Syria at that time would still be under the influence of the USSR. Could make for some interesting adventures as part of the team that keeps the exclave supplied or protected. Or if could become the "first base" goal for NATO forces trying to escape the Middle East.
