Broke both my legs cleaning out the garage. Been in the hospital the past few days. Have both legs in casts now, and the suckiest part? I'm not getting any better meds than before!

My big computer had died just before, so not much was getting done anyway -- I did get your file, though.

Damn that sucks about your legs - are we talking compound fractures? Definitely not the way to get better meds!

Hope you get well soon

I blame Targan. Clearly, he somehow did some sort of voodoo to give you the damage he should have sustained in his motorcycle accident.

That does suck. I broke my fibula in 4th grade and my school, which was dealing with two student being arrested for lunchtime shoplifting, told me to "Just go home". I Hopped 4 blocks back to my house. I was off my feet for 2 weeks and in a walking cast for another 4 i think.

I hear that over the counter antihistamines can help with the inevitable itching. Hopefully they are not counter-indicated by your other meds.

Hope you can bounce back soon.

Oh if you are unable to get a new keyboard for a while (due to the legs) you can look at remapping an unused key (maybe ~ and `) to L via software or the registry. I always remap caps lock to nothing as I type about 20 blind passwords a day and caps lock always gets me.

Hey! I think a broken knee and 4 foot fractures was bad enough.

As an interesting aside, now my foot tells me when rain is coming. Maybe Paul will gain a similar superpower with his legs when they heal.

Hope your healing is swift and your discomfort isn't too bad Paul!

I feel for you bro! Had a compound tib fib when I took a header off a cliff with my mortar section back in the day.

Keep up the therapy, don't push it to hard but don't baby it or yourself too.

On a plus note, if you're on crutches for a long time you will develop huge arms and abs of steel!

That sucks big time. At least it will be harder to get to the snack drawer (for weight loss).

I broke one leg (tibia) skiing when I was 13; spent 8 weeks in a cast. By the end, I got around well on crutches. But I had one good leg to stop and rest on. Physical therapy was spending late spring & summer biking.

The pain is from swelling; and it ends when the swelling subsides after the first few days. And I'm sure my telling you that helps very little at the moment.

You have my sympathy.
