Anybody in this forum who wants to make a summer trip to Ohio in August this year should consider the weekend of August 22nd and 23rd. A D-Day reenactment is held in Conneaut Ohio EVERY YEAR during this Friday and Saturday. It is FREE to the public and is one of the largest WW2 reenactments in The US. Last year 2400 reenactors showed up including one of only TWO fully functioning 88mm FLAK guns in the US. Yours truly got to "run crew" and even "pull the piggy's tail" (whoosha!!!!). They have weapon's demonstrations (full auto too with "audience participation"), rides in various amphibious vehicles, period aircraft flyovers, and a "swap meet" all weekend. If your in the "north shore" area we'd love to see you there. REMEMBER, it's ALL FREE (although donations are appreciated)! Go to the website: D-Day, Conneaut, OH. for info.
