I website I found that lists areas of oil production in Poland. It even has production data for the 90's. I am going to use this info plus some more factual information on a revised fuel system for TW2000.

The coal deposit maps aren't too bad either. Securing a mine and transport route for Krakow could be a heck of a campaign.

Agreed, I remember seeing a challenge adventure called Pennsylvania crude where the characters guard an oil well operation, could be adapted for Poland I would think.

Looking at the map it seems the oil fields are all in heavily fought over and damaged areas, with those in Western Poland having a high number of nuke hits too. I doubt there'd be much left.

there might still be the ability to get a couple of wells going - the question is how much knowledge is left on how to get the wells functional again - even if the equipment is repairable you still need to know what repairs to make
