My prayers go out all of our French forum users and those who suffered a loss in Nice France.
The latest count is 73 dead, 100's injured when a truck driver drove through a crowd and then got in a shootout with police.
Today I'm ashamed to call myself a "trucker...."

 I wish that these idiots would just kill each other instead of taking it out on innocent people.

I was in Nice for a couple of days just this past March. Several of my teacher friends and students ate in that Hard Rock Café, right there on the strand. It's such a beautiful city. Such a shame that these death cults keep murdering people to prop up their amoral, bankrupt philosophies.

Now at 84 dead. This guy was deliberately trying to mow down more people like it was some computer game.
This world makes me disgusted a lot these days.

Why should you feel bad for being a trucker because of what this criminal did? I place the blame on the criminal/terrorist not the truck or the trucking industry.

I know. :( Reminds me of what my mother said the Christmas before she passed away in 2013, "I wish we we still in the world of Andy Williams." (Popular singer from the 1950's to the 1970's, had his own TV show in the 1960's)

Unfortunately, you are in the "level headed" minority. Truckers are a fraternity like cops or the Army. When one member of the brotherhood does something stupid, it reflects badly on the rest of us. I have already heard people making ignorant comments about truckers and "road rage" based on France. It saddens me that truckers may face prejudice just like the Dallas cops (and now Baton Rouge) who are paying the price for a couple of cops who screwed up half way across the country.

You have a point there, I work in a call center and everyday it proves that H.L. Mencken right where "no one has gone broke overestimating the stupidity of the American (really all over the world) people." Saw you comment about the Baton Rouge cops and one of my junior high buddies, we were in homeroom together, is now the police chief of a small borough west of Pittsburgh and I've talked to him and his wife and they fear for his safety.
