Some nice easy to figure out ideas of what radiation does to the body and how to incorporate it into your next game.
I've been half heartedly trying to rework the v1 radiation.

WTH is MREM? I thought the proper term was RADS? Well off to google "MREM"
There are so many ways to measure radiation.

I think rads was convenient for a game term as it was easy/convenient to identify as a dose of radiation. The term rad is an acronym for radiation absorbed dose and is a measure of the energy deposited onto/into living tissue.
The term mrem is an older measurement of radiation, it is one thousandth of a rem with mrem meaning milli Roentgen equivalent in man. I think mrem was mostly used within the USA.
Both are valid terms but with several different terms used to describe a does of radiation it all becomes quite unclear and seems just a little screwy.
There's a page describing all this in far better terms than my efforts on the following link: -

That cleared things up a little... Thanx

This reminds me of a rather horrifying bit about the Chernobyl accident: the on-site personnel thought they were "safe" since the dosimeters were only showing a certain amount which was concerning, but not worrying. As it turns out the dosimeters were designed to only show up to that amount. Anything higher was simply off the scale and it would not register on the meter.
They were receiving several thousand times the safe limit, even in the control room.
