As a WWII and casual Zombie afficianado with Norwegian ancestors (on my father's side), I was thrilled to see a teaser on IFC for a new Norwegian zombie movie called Dead Ice. From what little I saw, the premise involves Nazi Zombie soldiers frozen in the '40s thawing out (global warming, perhaps?) and terrorizing some weekend vacationers. Looked like campy, violent fun.
What does this have to do with T2K? On the face of it, very little. However, the zombie genre does contain post-apocalyptic survival elements, so there's a bit of a connection there, however tenuous.
It screened at Sundance this year but I believe it's already out in Norway. Do our Norwegian members know anything about it?

I have to admit your post intrigued me enough to do a search. I think it is actually called "Dead Snow"

it is called "dead snow" in Norwegian and it is out .(release 9th Jan.09 )
It is a typical slasher /nazizombie/horror flick as far as I know -havent seen it , but it is supposedly witty and has loads of gore and goodies - the nazie zombies are pretty well done as far as I know.
It created a little splash here ,not many movies get any international press ,so when this one got good reviews from genre affecionados at Sundance we read about it here .Apparently it does good as far as Zombie fans are concerned -and it is one of the mejòr nazi zombie films ou there according to said sources .
In the name of patriotism : check out our latest cultural export article that we have unleashed upon the world !!!
The same guys who did this started with a low budget parody of Kill Bill called Kill Buljo ,about a Lapp ( indigenous people over here with raindeer and colorful pointy hats ) that set out to avenge the massacre committed at his wedding day .
Raellus - congrats on such noble squarehead ancestry :D
Anything you need sussed out over here about ancestors or a shipment of lutefisk, brunost,tørrfesk or snus- I will do my best .
ha det bra !
