This is the Vodka drinking doctor of the ship. The smell of vodka is allways around him. The captain brushes this off with the explenation: "Atleast he is cheap."

"...click, tick tick..."
the sound of messages ticking in on the computer-relay is unmistakenly.
"hello guys" the heading says.
"i am in, i have gotten some new information about some of the guys that have taken a mission going against our mission, protecting the boat and Dr Hetzer.
There is 3 confirmed groups that has taken this mission(see mao thread), why does Dr. Hetzer have this many enemies??? (i will try to see what more i can digg up about the good doctor)
also i would like to appoligies for not being in contact whit you, but recently i have had to employ some new people in my buisniss, and this has to come first, without it i do not know how long i could be in "buisniss", you know... ...toys costs
by the way, we are vulnerable from the second we arrive the hotel, we need a backup plan if something happens before we are "safely" on the boat. escape route, safe house, stash of weapons etc if everything goes accordingly to plans, i may have a gift for you all as we board the ship, we will see.
Mr. Mr.
out"
To gm:
1. I try to digg upp more information about the good doctor, the hole background story if possible.
2. I make contact with my "friend" in somalia, not giving any information, but take what bits and pieces i can get (common question here would be: any new group of white people in your area?, heard of anything going on? what is going on in your area? etc)
3. the gift is something i will mail you later, it is an idea i have had for a while, it is hintet in the mao thread.
to HQ: i have worked on some modification to my troops in your campaigne, more or less the eureka comunity will appreciate some peace and order with my millitia force working for the peace and tranquility of eureka. this is the big thing, they are now the law (if wanted), and even though they where my people i have given them the integrity of choice to pledge an alligence to eureka, family, themselves and as long as i live here (as a member of eureka) me.
more information is long overdo, and will soon emerge.

I plan and execute the following :
travel under assumed name
scout location in Cairo
scout routes
scout escape routes
familiarize my self with hotel and neighbothood.
develop contact on hotel staff -anything out of the ordinary?
develop contact on local police force - can I bribe info and guns out of him ?
develop contact "streetwise kid" -eyes and ears
to do this I approach carefully ,and try to lure them into accepting money gifts -small at first and then bigger.test them pretty good first .
set up safehouse in 2 locations in Cairo
get a car and start learning to negate local traffic .
to employer : get local armed guard status papers ready .get us schedule for the mission /travels etc . no way I am letting the professor run the show.we are the security -let us do our job or get someone else .

As I said - I get there early ! routes to and from Port Said and the harbour needs to be cased out too .
The preliminary work involves going over all the ground we are going to cover as well as some alternate routes and locations for every phase of the mission .
How is this going ? signs of unusal activity ? any of the local police authorities commanders having nice dinners with anyone from the hitsquads ?
How is my bribery quest going ?
Did I get a few smgs and pistols from the dirty cops ?
and when will other team members show up to do their bit and not to forget - spend some of their money on this job!!!
I go through 25 000 dollars in mostly small bills to get what I want .
2-3 MAHDI MAK -90 (AK47 Egyptian Clone)
2-3 m/45 " Port Said 9 mm SMGs
2-3 "Helwan" 9 mm ( beretta 52)
2-3 "Tokagypt" ( 9mm FEG hungarian TT-33)
5 mags for each and
1000 rounds 9mm
500 rounds 7,62x39
nb! all of these are military surplus weapons -and probably leaking out into the markets ...

1.there is apparently another contractor with command authority on this job -we know nothing of who he is , wether or not he is thrustworthy ,competent etc .
2. we are supposed to meet with client and his " head of security " at location 1 and the mission starts at the same time .no cooperation has been planned or trained with the clients other security detail .this means that zero hour will commence without any posibility of preparations or planning.
3.payments and insurance for the job is not clear as of yet ,and Barnaby has started working on the case for app. 1 month already with a total expenditure of 100 000 dollars in travel, board and lodgings ,technical, medical and ordinance related equipment +manhours.
Conclusion : It is this operative`s strong opinion that
A) our group of operatives should act in unison when it comes to dealing with the client and present identical demands :
I suggest that these are :
1. PAY : client will want to pay us pr. diem/ pr day + bonuses. I say half in advance + expences up front .
Advance payment : no less than 50 000 dollars pr operative up front .Another 25 000 dollars pr STARTED month of regular guard duty.Bonuses for extra risky jobs along the way to be calculated after the "law of the brotherhood of sea ..yarr"
Expenses is 100 000 dollars as of now ( maybe someone has more to add to the list /bring invoice) .
2. Operational procedure/ code of conduct
I also suggest that we demand full disclosure of all operational parameters and the possibility for training and cohesion/cooperation exercises to be held in order to avoid catastrophy. We have solid intel of a clearly defined and serious threat .It is likely that attack will occur at any time from zero hour until end of mission .
Parameters are :
travel routes and arrangements
(where we are going, how to get there and what we will be doing )
3.
In case none of this forthcoming , a demand of 1 mill dollars payment pr man to compensate .

Well....
INTRO:
The session started with the players travelling to Cairo,Egypt. They had a small briefing in a pre-set safehouse;deciding to recon Hotel Conrad before the meeting with Dr.Hetzer ,but alas no notable info was the result of the recon.(Except : The daughter of German ambassador to egypt and some really rich Saudis were present)
THE MEETING:
The meeting with dr.Hetzer began well enough in the newly refurbished top conference room of Hotel Conrad. Dr. Hetzer was accompanied by an unnamed asian computer expert and 4 personal bodyguards of the silent type.
Whilst presenting the mission the party were attacked by person(s) with a high calibre (20mm perhaps) and 3 of the bodyguards were taken down.
The party decided to flee....
After the firealarm started the staircase the party fled in was crowded in seconds. In the crowd they were attacked by another of the known attackers "THE SWORD" storming towards Dr.Hetzer with 2 Katanas he chopped of Romanov's foot (Sanchez) disabling him for allmost the rest of the session sadly..But the players managed to fire back hitting the sword multiple places in the chest/abdomen region - he fell over the rails in the staircase ...and vanished....blooddrops quickly washing away as the firealarm did it's best in destroying evidence......They escaped in car parking lot under the hotel and headed for pickup 1.
Pickup 1
Here a box was delivered and medical-station/triage was set up to fix the wounds of Romanov (Sanchez) - (parts of his foot was in a icebucket from the hotel) - The stayed here for about 45 days learning that Al-qaida took responsibility for the attack on Conrad Hotel.
Then they were attacked again....
Second Attack
This time it a rocket propelled grenade that started the fighting.... A bloody battle commenced ending in victory for the players..sadly some civilians were killed....They learned that it was Jack Norton's Crew "the Unbreakables" that they had defeated.
Last pickup
They headed west into the vast Sahara desert.to an old egyptian ruin.To the position given to them by the person who they were going to pick up. They arrived some days before and was warned about a incomping sandstorm by a local tourguide. After the sandstorm the were attacked by mortars and beduins on camels. They managed to repel the attack and discovered this...
