Do the US have any seed banks?
(where seeds for various food-plants are stocked - for that you never know scenario)

Norway does have one way up north. I heard about it on Glenn Beck today plus I've read about it before. It is a good way to keep things cool without electrical power needed in case if "the oops" happens. I hope we have something like that here, otherwise, we will have to fly a 707 or get a boat to go fetch the seeds. I know north of me is "Iron Mountain" in Boyers, PA (it was featured in Allegheny Uprising) where they store records and other things there underground in a big mine. I see their trucks running around all the time as I go on deliveries. I have a friend that lives near there, we plan to get together and go on a tour of the place. I do think it is possible you can store seeds there too, IIRC, the temperature is like 55F all year round.
