Hey,
What is a common caliber and weapon for civilian hunting rifles in Europe... Germany/Polish area. Nothing fancy, just common.

My guess:
most common calibers in Northern Europe today are
30-06
.308
6,5x55
.223
fair sprinkling of
7,92x57
9,3x63
7,62x39
I suggest that the Poles might have alot of 7,62x54R

One thing I have heard from a few European freinds is that alot of countries do not allow or place alot of restrictions on current military caliber weapons.
Although some also have less resctrictions on full auto weapons less than in the US even.
And something that struck me, when I got my first rifle, a 30-30 Winchester Model 94, the instruction manual was in two langauguage, English and French. And the ammo I had which was Federal again two langauges, English and French! It made me wonder was the ol Lever Action 30-30 that popular in France? <And yes it was my first rifle, so, the first moments of getting it are inedllibly etched in my mind>

I would guess that it would have been printed that way to allow sales to Canada.
