As far as the toilet seat bit, I wonder why I always hear women complaining about the toilet seat being up, but never hear men complaining that it's always down...Go figure.
Being married and a military man I fight the battles I know I can win,

Just like being in the army when married it good to:

1. Keep quite,
2. Do what you are told,
3. Follow dirctections
4. NEVER Volunteer for anything

Everything I you need for a happy marraige I learned after basic training

That's because we have good aim.

I keep my toilet seats down because two of my dogs are big enough to drink from them if they so desire...

Welcome aboard Frankie. Back when I started playing Twilight:2000 we had some semi-regular female players (1st Ed back in the Reagan years), and there were a few women playing in version 2.0 and 2.2 games I was part of in college. It's good that you're breaking the ice for an under-represented group online so to speak.

Don't worry about not having served in the military, many of us here have not had that honor. We all contribute in our own ways. Don't worry that we might think your "feminine persective" too soft, many of us have learned that female does not equal sugar and spice and all things nice. Hell, one of my exes was in a National Guard MP unit, and she could outshoot me, out-curse me, beat my ass, then grin while she described firing a grenade launcher as "orgasmic" and then smile and hug my Mom. Some days I miss her, all the others I hope she misses me. Seriously, I don't want that chick shooting me.

In any case feel free to speak up and share your views, that's why we're here.

One of my gaming group is female, the wife of one of the male gamers. She often plays the female char, including when we do T2k (a jewish american artillery officer who happens to work for the Isralis). It may sound like lame roleplaying to do this but in my experience of DMing (28 yrs), I have not found a man able to play a woman char like a woman does. Yes, we can do the stereotypes and our impression of a womans perspective - but I still get surprised by the different angles a womans mind brings.

I have found the same, but I think women can play a male character closer. Maybe our motivations and actions are just "simpler".

(edit also moved some OT posts to the General Chauvinism thread)
