Well what happened to Toowoomba was pretty shocking... a flash flood that wiped out half the town with almost no warning. Luckily Toowoomba isn't a very big place but I do feel sorry for the people there.

More pictures being added every minute it seems.
Some of them are funny, others scary, with a few just plan shocking.

Leg,

Thanks for the link!

It's important to note that most flood-control measures will be defunct in the aftermath of the Twilight War. Even with altered weather patterns and reduced rainfall in most parts of the world, local conditions will cause temporary flooding, either flash floods or seasonal changes to river levels.

If you run a PBeM or other game, these images are useful in visually conveying the power and destructive force of floodwaters.

I've lived through a lot of floods over the years, but the devastation in SE Queensland is just unimaginable! Most flooding is a relatively sedate affair with the waters rising fairly slowly. What happened on Monday was anything but slow - in some places it was all over in ten minutes leaving a path of destruction in it's wake.

This shows just how terrible it was. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYUpk...layer_embedded
