NPCs in the modules

Anyone ever do any writeups on some of the lesser NPCs mentioned in the modules? I was flipping through the Ruins of Warsaw and recalled this one random encounter that the PCs could run into.

Ruins of Warsaw pg 23 on the random encounter list outside of Warsaw: 5 British soldiers lost in area (Vet) sterling 120, headed towards coast but willing to accompany the PCs.

Also related to that the Black Baron's 2nd Free Company, 20 marauders, mostly Americans from the 5th ID, later on in the followup Return to Warsaw, the 2nd Free Company has increased in size and includes an HQ section with 2 M-60 MGs, as well as the 20 marauders armed with M-16 but also about 40 others armed with AK's. The module also lists that the American Company has proven it's loyalty to the Baron, but he doesn't completely trust them for reasons he can't explain.

Or how about the information for the town Krzepice in the module White Eagle? Page 41 of White Eagle mentions that Krzepice is controlled by small band of US soldiers (stragglers from 5th ID) who settled in town and provide protection in exchange for food and shelter. Incidentally Krzepice is about 40 km from Dobrodzien which is occupied by B/1/116th ACR. Oddly enough White Eagle indicates that Capt. Molly Warren has sided with the Mad Markgraf of Sileisa.

Then there's USAF Maj. Andrew Fillmore who parachuted into filed nearby after his F-16 was critially damanged over romania and is being held by citizens of Myselnice. (Free City of Krakow pg 36) Anyone rescue him in their T2k game?

And finally the Legion Obcokrajowiec (Foreign Legion) of Wojsko Slaskie (Army of Silesia), 400 mostly German and Austrian soldiers commanded by Major Rudulf Geissmar, but by the time of White Eagle, this has increased to 800 mostly German and Austrian soliders with "quite a few Americans".

Anyone expand on these in their own games? James Langham?

Our group got Major Fillmore out with the old Trojan Horse trick: the Soviet defectors who were with us drove into town with a T-72 and a UAZ jeep, "demanded" that the downed pilot be handed over-which was quickly done-and drove out. Not a shot fired. After we explained who we were and where we were headed, he stayed for a while, but while in Krakow, he decided to go his own way. Came back a few weeks later to buy ammo from the Wojo company and Fillmore was now under Colonel Stark in the DIA.

My groups never went for Major Fillmore, I don't think Col. Stark ever had a chance to mention him as a possible mission.

I was thinking the rescue would make a good one-shot for a convention game someday. {See new thread}

I do worry when people name me in posts! :-)

I've tried to incorporate as many as I could into the history (a favourite being the reporter Fanya Wilson from Urban Guerilla). Read the history (shameless plug) and see how many you can find.

A really sadistic GM could have an NPC helping the PCs in Krakow turn up on the opposition in the Return to Europe series...
