The Project, pre-TEOTWAWKI

Got to thinking recently (ALRIGHT!!! QUITE YOUR CRYING ALREADY!!!!)

One of the weak points, IMHO is that the developers never really showed much of the background or organization thoughts of the Project. By no means do I flame them! MP is an old favorite and back when I got the RPG bug, nobody really set up a decent background beyond the ole D&D "you meet in a tavern and depart on an epic adventure of hack and loot!"

Soooooooooo :D

What are your thoughts on the organization of COT and the Project? How would the Project convince a intelligent, rational human being into volunteering to leave family, friends, their entire life and become a experiment in cyro technology? How would the COT/Project protect their secret? Would the resort to "sanctioning" someone? Or would they become a "unwilling volunteer"? Just what kind of contact would the Project have with the political establishment, if any?

Please give this some serious thought...
