Twilight 2000 is such a niche property, it's kinda nuts that he name drops it. What percentage of Joe Rogan listeners would catch the reference and understand it? I'd guess less than 1%. T2k ain't like Dungeons & Dragons, that even the layman who'd never rolled a d20 before would recognize.

Pretty cool. It'd be neat if we could get Zeihan on here...

Yeah, I know it's the briefest of mentions, but it's a pretty cool name drop considering Rogan has about 11 million daily listeners and Peter Zeihan is someone I've been following for around a year now (I don't remember if I started reading/watching him before or after the Ukraine invasion).

I wonder how many people unfamiliar with the product heard "...which is a very Twilight 2000, dog-eat-dog world...", and googled T2k. Regardless if it was 1 or 100 (or none at all), it's still cool that he mentioned it on air.

I wonder how and when he learned of T2k, whether he's every played it, and, if so, which version he prefers. Again, it would be neat if we could find a way to get him on here.

This presumes he hasn't been here for some time already...

Considering he's made a career out of kind of predicting the future and a bleak future at that, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he's played it or at least read through the rulebooks.
