Last Battle
 

kcdusk 12-11-2005, 09:34 PM Anyone own, seen or used the Last Battle Module? I think its meant to be more like a wargame rather than RPG, still using T2K as a setting.

...it does require lots of modification for it to work with Twilight, particularly in the area of including player skills and abililities, and their weapons and vehicles (and dirty tricks!). I really should put those modifications I've used on my site some day...


Last Battle is also very amenable to modification, more so than any other wargame I've ever played. It's fairly easy to add weapons, player abilities, vehicles, and even come up with new rules on the fly to cover things that come up at the last moment and during play. In my mind, Last Battle is one of GDW's better products.

pmulcahy 12-11-2005, 11:36 PM I've tried those too -- I found them to be unwieldy at best and useless at worst. They are not amenable to easy modification, and are ridiculously complicated.

Grimace 12-13-2005, 06:25 PM I've got the Last Battle. I was rather disappointed in it, for it wasn't what I was expecting it to be. I played it a couple of times. As Paul said, it's a pretty good Beer and Pretzel game, but I never really did find a use for it in my Twilight Games.


As the Ruins of Warsaw combat rules...I've never seen those, so I can't attest to how they are or how they compare with Last Battle.
