sladethesniper 06-02-2008, 10:02 PM Sad to say, a post-apocalyptic US is still better than Iraq, Afghanistan or 80% of Africa...

Mmm, amazing what an invasion can do to a country isn't it?

I guess General Pain finds a society that feels so threatened that it feels the need to insist it's members carry rifles around with them both on and off duty "disturbing" (as do I). But we are drifting into politics....

I live in Texas, and I've seen plenty of redneck gals -- they don't look like that!

Yes, they are very pretty (if that's the right word for images of destruction!). I must confess I found Fallout only a year or so ago and enjoyed the games hugely, particularly the 1950's "feel" of the artwork.

While looking for something else entirely (as you do when surfing the Net) I found this site:

http://blog.modernmechanix.com/covers

The site has not only the covers from numerous old magazines from the 50's and 60's but includes some of the articles and adverts from each as well. There's some super stuff in there that would provide inspiration for Pulp games.

Hey, we ought to pitch that title to the Science Channel!

Sounds like a winner!
