It's not all one sided, I've learned lots here (and take anything I write with a pinch of salt as I often modify things to fit the background e.g. the ROC was wound down after the end of the Cold War).

Plus it lets me put on lots of truly obscure jokes (apologies to anyone who got the Mornington Crescent history one...)
