4th Edition Equipment, Night Vision Device, Image Intensification

Updated and added some Night Vision Devices Image Intensification (Star light).

I'm also trying a new style of graphics as well. Closer to the what is in the manual.

Very nice work.

Is there some reason I can't find your recent work at the supply bunker ? The pdf's that you've posted here never seem to appear on your site.

Regards,

No reason. I'm looking at re-designing the website, and have stopped the use of the older software I used to manage the site. For now it is easier to just upload the files and post links to them here.

I'm still on the fence about what software I want to redevelop the site with.

Thank you for asking.

Thank you.

For those that have already downloaded the rev 1.2 file, please download it again. I didn't increase the revision for this fix.

Very nice.

What do you use to get the graphics looking like sketches?

Well I print it out, then get some tracing paper and then trace and shade the image, but it is easier to use AKVIS Sketch.

Generation 4: Is a tricky one as technically there is no Gen 4 classification, according to the US Army. When it was initially introduced the US Army recognized the Gen 4 technology classification. However, after testing reliability and life span of the Gen 4 devices the Army determined that this technology did not meet their strict requirements and thus recanted the Gen 4 definition.

Any "+" appearing after a Generation type (i.e., Gen II +, Gen III +) do not change the generation type of the device, but instead indicates an advancement(s) over the original specification's requirements.

So I'm guessing you are asking that I add this to my equipment information?

I am currently working on the next series of documents for thermal imaging and the thermal fusion based devices.

But at what point do I stop? All of this will not be even possibly available.

Now this also raises the question as to how the rules will need to be expanded a bit to cover this. Since the rules are based on the heat difference between the object and it's background. How do we calculate background temperatures for different environments and materials and the object?

I mentioned it because it has been issued to units since 2009 and is the slated replacement for the A/N PVS-14 monocle. Since it is a real world and field system I thought you would want to know...... the A/N-PSQ 20 is also known as the Enhanced Nightvision Goggle.

The video explains the difference better than I can.

Ok, I'll add this to the fusion devices document.

I did not see this coming.
