What does this friendship request thing involve? I thought we were all friends already...

Its just an add on I guess.

It came with the new version of the software. There is probably a greater need on larger boards than here but I generally don't remove tools or features unless I feel there is a negative to them. Overall this seems harmless and possibly a way for people to more easily track posts from specific users.
