Kato, you're gonna miss us...

C'mon, you know you will!

Cdnwolf 08-18-2009 04:50 PM

You know you wanna come back!! Don't make us start a special thread titled "Come back Kato or we start posting pictures of ourselves wearing THONGS"

ChalkLine 08-18-2009 10:22 PM

What did I miss? What's happening with Kato?

pmulcahy11b 08-18-2009 10:25 PM

Kato's bowing out for a while; like any group, we occasionally get into flame wars (less than most groups, I like to think), and he's burned out on riding herd on us. He's going to keep the hardware and software going, but he's otherwise stepping out for a while.

headquarters 08-19-2009 01:48 AM

uh-oh.

whoopps!

thats bad -just bad.

I surely hope we all can keep it together without him to chaperone -and show our esteemed moderator and organizer that we actually can talk game without messing it up with bad discussions.

Well, I can understand Kato's point of view -- running a board like this is a hobby that takes the time of a full-time job. Burnout is quite understandable, and everyone can use a vacation. We'll see him again.

Damn, did I miss out on a flame war?? I never noticed any happening!

Marc 08-19-2009 08:55 AM

Flames? ... mmm ... What flames? ... mmm... Ah...my autism.

Strangely in this short thread I've needed the online dictionary two times...chaperone and thong... +1 to my Language (English) skill. :D

Come back when you are ready

We all want you to be happy Kato. Take as long as you need. We, the denizens of your dungeon (grin) will try to stay civilized!:D

For the first one I didn't, it's a french word. And some people around here complain that the french language is not well respected.:D

However, the meaning behind this word is not entirely positive (and I'm sure it was intended).;):p

In Australia thongs are a type of very casual footwear.

Tangas in Spanish.

kota1342000 08-19-2009 10:54 AM

Come back as you can Kato!

Sorry about not posting anything for a while, Ive been on the road.
Kato, I started using this spot for background info and additional material for many of the t2k games Ive been running, and the stuff Ive been writing. Ive chatted with many of these good'ol people and got a great amount of material ranging from fuel matters to the kind of thing you would almost expect from Rand.
I know you probably dont hear it enough, but youve really been a great help to me, and undoubtedly many others here. Thanks much, and I sure as hell hope that Paul is right in that youll miss us and stop by and occasionally peek in at the very least. In the meantime we'll try not to throw too much poop at each other :D

more like a babysitter -chaperone is negative in French ? I thought it meant elderly female relative that sees to it that no premature wedding is nescessary ? i.e that everything goes according to good manners-

You are right. However, it also implies that you cannot be trusted. In the literature, Chaperone are often given to characters who intend not to follow good manners or for girls that are dating man the parents don't want.

Usuallly, "Chaperonner" someone, is a painful distasteful task.
