My Morrow Stuff

I've been running a Morrow Project PBEM now for a couple of months and it's going well. Although I just running a Recce Team with a couple of XR-311's, I've done up a couple off illos comparing a few Morrow Project vehicles, Scientific One, Mars One, the XR-311 and the Landmaster from Damnation Alley, both external and deck plans. The URLs are:

and the URL for my site is:

Check it out...

Really slick looking pages. Always loved the landmaster and those are great graphics. Thanks for the links.

Ditto. VERY nice graphics. Could I please link to them from my blog?

And - if you don't mind the question - who/what are the Nazis in your campaign?

Interesting stuff you have there.

What software are you using to draw these graophics and the boltholes?

Owen E Oulton 02-21-2010 04:33 PM

Matt W:

You may link to them or repost them with attribution. I'm doing more of them. I'm confined to the hospital with only the computer to keep me company. Shades of the game Paranoia! The Nazis are actually neoNazis who use the uniform and rhetoric of the Third Reich. They call themselves the NSDAP, or Nova Scotis Democratic Action Party. They have a bit of a steam-punk technology (Star Wars AT-STs and AT-RTs and the Raiders Flying Wing) and are based in Halifax. They are fighting the Free Nova Scotians for control of the province. Thay particularly dislike the Mi'kmaq people. They are led by a charismatic dictator. I'm using a lot of characters I found online for NPCs

Nuke11:
I use a simple 2D drafting software followed by Paint Shop Pro 3.1 for the plans. The vehicle drawings are done straight in Paint Shop Pro. I'm planning on putting Corel Draw! on the machine, but it's got a steep learning curve.

These are great.

Glad I found this board and am able to contribute. You can see my other gaming stuff at: http://coldnorth.com/owen/relic.htm - It's mostly trek gaming stuff. Enjoy!

kato13 02-23-2010 09:50 AM

If you are a trek fan I suggest visiting this site if you have not.

Really helps to visualize the size of starships. Note: This is one of the few sites I recommend viewing in IE as you can move the ships next to each other for comparison)

I have been waiting to share that link but it always seemed off topic for the forums (even the 2300 one).

Excellent!! If you do not mind, I would like to forward the links to the PBEM I am in right now. We are using a MARS One. It could really help.

Thanks, Owen! I have posted your links with your name at our PBEM site. As soon as I get permission, I will post our site here so that you and the others can watch our game as we go staggering along. :D

...And here's another iconic Morrow Project vehicle: the Commando V-150!

And for those who like something a little more modern than the FMC XR-311, the Dumber... er, Hummer.

I'm now working on a page to collect all these and more in one place. I've done up the Commando Ranger, Land Rover, Jeep CJ-7 and more so far! Keep an eye on this space for the announcement!

Owen E Oulton 02-27-2010 09:40 PM

...And here is the page!:

I've still got a couple of vehicles I'm working on, like the Chenowth FAV and the Cadillac-Gage Commando Scout...

I've just put up a calendar page for my players to keep track of things, including lunar phases. Does anyone else keep track of such trivia?

Calendar is at: http://coldnorth.com/owen/game/morrow/timeline.htm Compiled from a universal calendar and a lunar calculator. Gotta love Google!

kalos72 03-06-2010 03:16 PM

Do you guys have these vehicles stats and descriptions? Id love to know what they do and how. Great work though!!! :)

Owen E Oulton 03-06-2010 07:24 PM

The vehicles I've used except the Landmaster and the TMP-specific vehicles are all real-world vehicles, and stats can be got off the Web. Most are Twilight 2K vehicles, since I'm using that system. MPVs are used as given in the TMP corebook. Conjectural stat are available on the Web for the Landmaster, notably at Gary Gore's Supply Bunker.

My Morrow Procect PBEM campaign is going well. It's hit almost 300 messages now. The characters have had their first run-in with the Nazis. They won - a .50 cal beats Kevlar any day.

Here's what they were up against:
http://coldnorth.com/owen/game/morrow/images/walker.gif

he walker was armed with an MG-3.
